A Documentary by Ronan Carley

In 1937 a number of families from Gaeltachts on the west coast of Ireland moved to Gibbstown in Co. Meath to live on holdings acquired by the Land Commission as part of a government resettlement scheme. This documentary film looks at the reasons why families chose to move, investigates the merits of the scheme, and catches up with some of the remaining migrants.
