About Gweedore Celtic
Gweedore Celtic has a long and distinguished history. It is one of the oldest clubs in the country, being formed before the end of the nineteenth century. The club enjoyed a period of great success in the years 1912-1918 during which they won many cups. This was followed by lean times for the club up until the Golden era for Gweedore Celtic of 1977–1987 when they won a total of 12 cups, including 2 Ulster Junior Cups. Based at An Screaban close to the Gweedore Industrial Estate, the Club can boast excellent facilities including a new clubhouse, as well as floodlit astro & full-size pitches.
